The Executive Director holds a central position in this mission by overseeing the organization’s growth, governance, team management, and industry presence.
Role Summary
The Executive Director is responsible for developing SMCORP’s corporate IT membership, managing major partnerships, supervising internal teams, and representing the organization within the industry. The Executive Director also ensures rigorous operational and financial management, including budgets, reports, events, and governance obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Development and Corporate Partnerships
- Recruit, develop, and retain corporate IT members.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with major and strategic partners.
- Identify and convert relevant corporate organizations to support the network’s growth.
- Position SMCORP as a key player within the IT ecosystem.
Team Management
- Supervise, engage, and support members of the internal team.
- Ensure the effective coordination of responsibilities, projects, and priorities.
- Foster an environment focused on collaboration, performance, and professional development.
Representation and Events
- Actively participate in a wide range of IT events, conferences, and industry activities.
- Ensure SMCORP’s visibility, credibility, and positioning within the industry.
- Coordinate events in collaboration with the existing team, including planning, logistics, and budgeting.
- Manage internal and external event activities.
Governance
- Prepare and coordinate Board of Directors and Annual General Meeting activities, including documents, agendas, and follow-ups.
- Produce quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
- Ensure compliance and keep all organizational information up to date, including personnel information, records, and processes.
Financial and Administrative Management
- Develop and manage the annual budget and event-related budgets.
- Act as a financial controller by monitoring expenses and ensuring compliance and financial discipline.
- Compile annual rebate reports and ensure their accuracy.
- Complete MDF applications and reimbursement claims for major or complex partners.
- Ensure that all administrative and operational information remains up to date.
Strategic Development
- Activate and maintain an IT network to support membership growth.
- Develop long-term partnerships with corporate organizations within the sector.
- Contribute to SMCORP’s strategic planning and positioning within the industry.
